Coming to the PCT 2027
The PCT Hiker Trash Passport
A growing network of hikers, Trail Angels, and the PCT community.
Be Part of Every PCT Hiker’s Story.
The PCT Hiker Trash Passport launches with the Class of 2027.
Trail angels and trail-town businesses, claim your PCT Passport Checkpoint spots now.
What Is It?
Starting in 2027, every PCT thru-hiker with a permit who passes through
CLEEF, The Main PCT Hiker Trash Passport Checkpoint
will receive a physical passport valid from the Mexican border to Canada.
At each checkpoint along the way, trail angels and businesses
will stamp these passports with their custom rubber stamps.
A permanent mark that a specific hiker passed through your door.
These passports and your stamp
will travel with them along the PCT and back home.
What You Get.
Checkpoint members are listed in the PCT Hiker Trash Passport,
carried by every hiker from the Mexican border to Canada.
With limited internet access on the trail and many hikers off social media,
the passport becomes their primary resource for finding support along the way.
Your listing travels with them.
Every checkpoint member will also receive a PCT 2027 Hiker Trash Yearbook PDF,
stories, and photos from the hiker trash you may have had the pleasure of meeting.
If you hosted hikers in 2025 or 2026, there’s a good chance you are or will be in one.
Why Now.
The PCT Hiker Trash Passport gives trail angels and businesses
a direct line to every hiker on the trail,
No Internet Required*, No Social Media Needed.
For hikers, it’s a resource that makes their adventure easier and safer,
and a keepsake they’ll carry for the rest of their lives.
There are two ways to be listed: on the physical passport itself,
and in a downloadable PDF hikers store on their phone
with additional locations, tips, and resources.
Spots on the physical passport are limited,
first-come, first-served, to claim and grandfather your spot.
Hit the button below, and I’ll walk you through how it works.
